Volunteers are integral to our organization.

Are you looking to give back to your community? Are you a student looking for community service hours?  Do you want to make a difference in someone's life?  Join the ADC family by becoming a volunteer.

Below you will find a list of volunteer opportunities that are typically available. If you find one of interest, complete the application form below.

Volunteer Opportunities Available

  • Board of Trustees

Our Board of Trustees are always interested in meeting potential candidates to join the board. Individuals should have an interest in Eldercare, particularly an interest in innovative approaches to care as well as fundraising experience and a willingness to support our annual campaign. Please email our Executive Director at

  • Gala or Wine Tasting Committee Members

Help us to plan a successful fundraiser! We are looking for volunteers who like to plan events, invite their friends and colleagues and financially support the mission of the ADC. To become a volunteer, please contact our Director of Development, Hilary Kruchowy at 908-725-0068.

  • Program Volunteers

Program Volunteers (This program is currently on hold due to COVID-19 but will resume in 2022.)

Program volunteers support the staff and the members in such ways as assisting in daily activities, special events, office help and spending one-on-one time with members.

The typical schedule for a program volunteer is 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Volunteers pick specific days and volunteer one or two days per week.

There are many different and flexible opportunities for volunteers. Please email Diann for more information at

  • Corporate Volunteers for Days of Caring

(This program is currently on hold due to COVID-19 but will resume in 2022.)

Please consider us for your next "day of caring" or team-building event. Volunteer activities include but are not limited to the following: hosting a special theme day such as "Casino Day" or "Bingo Bash," planting flowers in our flower boxes, or one-time special projects such as building a horseshoe pit or bocce court. These activities would take place from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. If you are interested, please contact Executive Director Diann Robinson. Her email is

  • Birthday Buddies

(This program is currently on hold due to COVID-19 but will resume in 2022.)

Please join the ADC as a Birthday Buddy and sponsor our monthly celebration. Each month, usually on the fourth Friday, we celebrate members' birthdays. The responsibilities of the sponsor include purchasing and wrapping gifts (minimum value of $15, usually for 7-8 members), bringing a sheet cake and sugar-free cookies, and joining us for the party on the designated date from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. If your budget allows ($100-$125), you are asked to consider sponsoring an outside DJ who will play the members' favorite songs and keep the party moving. Sponsors present the gifts and join in on the overall celebration and dancing. If we do not have a sponsor, the ADC purchases the birthday gifts. If you are not able to participate as a group, would you please consider a gift card to Walmart, Target or Kohls? Any amount is greatly appreciated.

To publicize the event, we take photographs at the party and send out press releases to the local papers. We put photos on our Facebook page, which currently has over 550 followers, and we include the story in our e-newsletter that currently has nearly 500 active addresses.

To become a birthday buddy, please contact our Director of Development, Hilary Kruchowy at 908-725-0068.
